The Course
Whether you're a new teacher eager to make your mark or a seasoned yogi looking to refresh your approach, the tools and insights you gain here will make a lasting imprint on your teaching style. I’m often asked as a lead yoga teacher trainer “what is one thing you want more trainings to focus on?” And the answer is sequencing to empower students.
Too often, not enough attention is placed on sequencing a class which ends up being a disservice to both teachers and their students. Teachers call out poses, use pre-made sequences they don’t resonate with or get stressed out creating new classes. On the other side, students come into class wanting to move their body and often leave feeling unseen or less than.
The sequencing principles in this course help teachers to lean into their creativity while also seeing who is the room. The frameworks reduce burnout and encourage continued learning. And the practices included reinforce the principles and frameworks. But this isn't just about the classes; it's about the ripple effect of your teaching. By honing your ability to create meaningful yoga experiences, you'll empower your students to take their practice beyond the mat and into their daily lives. Imagine becoming the kind of teacher whose classes are the highlight of someone's day, whose sequences help empower them to slow down and be unique in our fast-paced world. That's the kind of real-world impact you're stepping into, with every pose and transition you'll master through this powerful course.
What you will learn
When I put together this course, I wanted to ensure that anyone starting their yoga teaching journey who has fallen our of love with it could step onto their mat with confidence and creativity.
I've crafted a program that will unveil the artistry in sequencing. As you may know I love making mosaics and sequencing is parallel art, placing all of the pieces together in a cohesive, educated and transforming way.
My aim is to make the process feel intuitive and joyful for you, so you'll find each module packed with tips and guidance, all laid out in a pattern that's as easy to follow. You'll also have 1:1 guidance by submitting assignments and receiving personal feedback from me.
You'll learn block sequencing to prevent burnout, peak pose sequencing, accessible yoga sequencing and prop-centric sequencing as well as variations from the handful of proptastic classes included in the training. This course will enrich your practice and teaching skills with structure and inspiration that reclaims your joy for teaching!
